Staff
The Fire Department operates 2 stations, staffed with 3 shifts staffed with a minimum of 9 personnel per shift. Our shift personnel work 24-hour shifts followed by the next 48 hours off.
Administrative staff works Monday - Friday, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
All personnel are on call in the event of serious fire, emergency or severe weather situation.
Employment
Applications for Firefighter openings are accepted from anyone holding State of Florida Minimum Standards for Firefighters and a State of Florida Paramedic certifications.
All hiring procedures are the responsibility of the City of Cocoa Beach Personnel Department.
