Hey neighbor,

After that stretch of chilly mornings,, we’re easing into a new month with a different kind of vibe - a little rainy, a little gray, and honestly… kind of perfect for slowing down.

Low-key. Cozy.

Due to forecasted thunderstorms and heavy rain, tonight’s Movies in the Park showing of Trolls has been cancelled. While we were looking forward to a fun night at Centennial Park, the safety of our residents and visitors is always our top priority.

We appreciate your understanding and will share updates if the movie is rescheduled.

Dirt and sand are pollution too

Don't pollute...Even by Accident!

Not all pollution is intentional - especially when dirt has been disturbed. Dirt and sand can be lagoon pollutants too.

When soil is disturbed during building or renovation, rain can wash loose dirt into the street & down storm drains - and straight into the lagoon untreated.

That's where silt fencing comes in. Silt fencing is the black fabric barrier you often see around construction sites & is installed along the ground so that dirt cannot wash away during rain.

Keeping our water clean is a community effort. See something concerning? Let us know - CityofCocoaBeach.com/ConstructionConcern
