Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the City of Cocoa Beach!

Hey neighbor,

As you head out with family and friends for a spooky-fun evening, we would like to remind everyone to stay safe and enjoy the night responsibly!

Trick-or-Treaters:

  • Walk on sidewalks and use crosswalks when crossing streets.
  • Carry a flashlight or glow sticks to stay visible after dark.
  • Visit well-lit homes and never enter a stranger’s house.

Drivers:

  • Slow down in neighborhoods, excited children may be harder to see.
  • Avoid distractions and stay alert near crosswalks and driveways.

Residents:

  • Keep outdoor areas well-lit for visitors.
  • Secure pets indoors to prevent accidental scares.
  • Be mindful of decorations that may block walkways.

Let’s make this Halloween safe, spooky, and fun for everyone in Cocoa Beach!

daylight savings end

Daylight Saving Time Ends This Weekend!

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday night, November 1. Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2.

As we “fall back,” it’s also a great time to:

  • Check and replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
  • Review your home’s emergency lighting and safety plans.
  • Be extra cautious on the roads — evenings will get darker earlier.

Enjoy the extra hour of rest, Cocoa Beach!
