As much as we wish the storm were behind us, what follows - clean-up, restoration, and recovery - can feel just as challenging. Here's what to expect in the days ahead, plus tips to help your and community bounce back quickly.

Safety Reminders

Wait for the official all-clear. Emergency crews are working to make our streets and neighborhoods safe again - please be patient.
Steer clear of floodwaters and downed power lines. Safety first!
Document any damage. Take photos before repairs for insurance claims.
Never use a generator indoors! Generators should only be used outdoors to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.

Debris Cleanup & Public Services

Be prepared for limited services -

Gas stations, groceries, and pharmacies may be operating with reduces hours.
You can track power restoration updates at FPL's outage map.
Water & Sewer services may be temporarily affected.
Trash and debris pick up will be announced by the City once roads are clear and crews are mobilized.

Insurance and Repairs

Snap photos of damaged areas before temporary repairs like tarping or boarding up
Save receipts for materials or services used to secure your home.
Contact your insurance provider as soon as possible to start the claims process.
