Storm Prep Sunday

Know the Difference, Be Prepared:

Tropical Depression vs. Tropical Storm –

Hey Neighbor,

Not all storms are created equal, but every system needs your attention.

Tropical Depression

  • Winds: up to 38 mph
  • Rain and localized flooding possible
  • Can quickly strengthen, monitor updates

Tropical Storm

  • Winds: 39–73 mph
  • Stronger winds, heavier rain, possible power outages
  • May cause storm surge and coastal flooding

What You Should Do:

  • Stay informed, monitor official updates
  • Review your emergency plans
  • Don’t let the name fool you, both can be dangerous

Follow local emergency alerts and weather advisories.
Preparedness starts before the storm arrives.
