Waste Management

There will be no solid waste, recycle, or yard waste collection on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, as the Brevard County landfills and facilities are closed in observance of the Christmas holiday.  

Wednesday residential garbage customers will be serviced on Saturday, December 28, 2024.  Wednesday residential recycle and yard waste customers will be serviced on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. 

 A reminder that New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, is a regular workday for WM in Brevard County.  All Wednesday services will run as scheduled on January 1, 2025.

Illicit Discharge

An Illicit Discharge is any discharge into a stormwater system that is not composed entirely of stormwater.

Why is it important to prevent? Water entering the stormwater system can pollute the waterways.

Smoke Test - Sewer System

The City of Cocoa Beach has hired Mead & Hunt to perform Sanitary Sewer Smoke Tests. 

Starting in January 2025, crews will be working in our neighborhoods performing the smoke test. Residents will receive notice regarding the work being done within your neighborhood and what you should expect during the smoke tests.

City of Cocoa Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Façade Grant Program FY2025

• Applications Open Until July 1^st, 2025
• Commercial Businesses Located in The Town Center Only
• All Applications Require CRA Board Approval
• All Projects Approved Must Be Completed Within that Fiscal Year 
  • Fiscal Year 2025 is October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2024
