BEACH ADVISORY
Beach Advisory: High Risk of Life-Threatening Rip Currents and Rough Surf
Due to dangerous ocean conditions, Cocoa Beach is experiencing a high risk of life-threatening rip currents. For your safety, swimming and entering the surf are strongly discouraged until conditions improve.
Important Safety Reminders:
Stay out of the surf: Rip currents and rough waves pose serious risks, even for experienced swimmers.
Rip currents can pull swimmers away from shore into deeper water. If you find yourself caught in a rip current:
Stay calm and float rather than fighting against the current.
Swim parallel to the shoreline if able, to escape the current.
If unable to reach safety, face the shore and wave or call for help.
Please prioritize your safety and avoid entering the water during these hazardous conditions. Thank you for helping keep our beaches safe!
