MRI Quenching 

Today, Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 Health First will be conducting a "quench" of the MRI machine as part of their ongoing project.

The quenching process involves the rapid release of liquid helium coolant, a necessary and routine procedure for MRI machines. This a completely safe process that is regularly performed in hospitals across the country.

For those interested, there are designated safe zones from which you can observe the event. The hospital has also coordinated with local fire rescue authorities.
