This Friday will be a crazy and exciting day for Downtown Cocoa Beach! 

This Friday is Thunder on Cocoa Beach! The annual street party will begin at 6:00 pm and will go on until 10:00 pm. 

Due to the size of this event, there will be several road closures in the downtown area. Please be advised of road closures and detours as our Public Safety works to secure a safe location for the street party. 

Starting at 2:00 pm, crews will begin shutting down side streets as all the boats will soon begin the journey from the port to downtown.  

During the event, traffic will be diverted onto North Atlantic Ave from South Orlando. Please use extreme caution as the area will only be a two-lane road going north and south. 

Due to the closure of the roads city hall administrative offices will close at 1:00 pm to reduce traffic in the downtown area.
