Do you know about our Community Paramedic program?

Do you know about our Community Paramedic program focused on the well-being of our citizens, with special attention to the elderly, home-bound, limited mobility, and those with chronic health conditions? Our dedicated Community Paramedic/RN will offer free in-home health and wellness screenings to identify ways to assist and enhance the quality of life of our elderly. The program is also working on obtaining much-needed medical equipment such as walkers for our elderly.

With this program, we aim to provide services and resources that would otherwise be overlooked by your loved ones.

If you have equipment you would like to donate please visit www.cityofcocoabeach.com/communityparamedic for contact information.

Let's work together to prioritize the health and well-being of our community!

Food Pantries

City of Cocoa Beach Food Drive

The City of Cocoa Beach is thrilled to announce its latest program that supports three local food pantries within the city. As these pantries rely on random budgets and volunteers, we know how much they need our support.

That's why starting today, July 10th, we will launch a three-week Food Drive Program (July 28th) to collect non-perishable items and toiletries for the pantries.

In the past year, the pantries have surpassed what the city could provide, so we urge our community to come together and make an impact. Let's do our part and support our neighbors in need.

If you are a local business owner and want to participate, please email us at socialmedia@cityofcocoabeach.com for the flyer and let us know!

Fire Department Training

The Fire Department does annual training all year long. Training is done 2 to 3 times a month. Other annual testing, such as swim testing, water rescue training, quarterly technical rescue training, and monthly EMS training is also done at the Cocoa Beach Fire Departmen.
You may notice crews out and about, running scenarios and honing their life-saving skills. These dedicated professionals are committed to keeping our community safe and prepared for any emergency.

Next week and throughout the next few months will be joining forces with other agencies to further enhance their collaboration and coordination in lifesaving efforts. So, if you see an increased presence or activity, please don't be alarmed! It's all part of an important training exercise.

We are incredibly grateful for the Fire Department's dedication and ongoing commitment to ensuring our safety. Their hard work and training make them the everyday heroes we can rely on. Stay tuned for more updates on their training progress and join me in applauding their efforts!
