City Elections

The City of Cocoa Beach holds elections in even-numbered years on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

Term Limits

Per City Charter Section 2.01:
No Commissioner may serve more than two consecutive four-year terms. After a one-year break in service, a former Commissioner may run again and, if elected, serve up to two additional consecutive terms. Serving two or more years of any one term counts as a full term. This limitation applies to Commission terms beginning November 8, 2016 (Seats 1–3) and November 6, 2018 (Seats 4–5), and to all terms thereafter.

Election Date: November 3, 2026

Seats up for election:

  • Commission Seat 4 – 4-year term

    • Vice-Mayor Williams is serving a second consecutive term and is not eligible for re-election.

  • Commission Seat 5 – 4-year term

    • Commissioner Hutcherson is serving a first term and is eligible for re-election.
