Cocoa Beach Leisure Services provide several locations that are available for rental for your special event. We strive to provide excellent customer service, by overseeing the outdoor special event permitting process and are here to help you through your planning process.

Do You Need a Permit?

All events on City property require approval. The type of permit depends on your event:

Small, private weddings (50 guests of fewer) > Beach Wedding Permit
Large, public, or high-impact > Special Events Permit

Beach Wedding Permit

Required for weddings that are:

Private ceremonies with 50 guests or fewer
Held on Cocoa Beach or city-owned park spaces
Involving minimal setup (arches, chairs, small decor)
With no vendors, amplified sound, and road closures

Apply for a marriage license at Brevard County Government.

Special Events Permit

Required for events that:

Are open to the public (festivals, concerts, races, fundraisers, etc.)
Take place on city-owned or maintained property
Involve vendors, food trucks, or alcohol sales
Use tents, stages, inflatables, or amplified sound
Impact streets, parking, or traffic
Draw large crowds or have major public impact
